ABOUT THE PROGRAM

NDF and ACMI, Australia’s national museum of screen culture, are proud to bring the Executive Digital Mentoring Program to Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific, starting this winter 2023 and running through to July 2024.

ACMI developed their CEO Digital Mentoring Program in 2021 in partnership with the Australia Council and with support from the Ian Potter Foundation. The program has been highly successful in Australia, and NDF is excited to bring this opportunity to Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific. 

The renamed Executive Digital Mentoring Program is designed to provide tailored strategic technology and digital mentoring to cultural organisation leaders in Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific. Sector leaders are partnered with sector-recognised experts to enhance their knowledge of digital strategy and technology-informed innovation. This program will help leaders make better investments in long-term technology and digital skills, and understand the risks and opportunities in a rapidly changing digital environment.

ACMI and NDF recognise that cultural sector leaders require support to undergo digital transformation, and partnering them with sector-recognised experts in digital strategy and technology-informed innovation will provide this support. The Executive Digital Mentoring Program is a unique opportunity for cultural sector leaders to enhance their digital skills and build a more sustainable future for their organisations.

This program is an integral part of NDF's Digital Capability Program, an ambitious initiative aimed at transforming the New Zealand cultural sector through the development of digital skills and long-term improvement in organisations' overall digital capability.

This initiative is made possible with funding from the Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage Regeneration Fund and the support of NDF’s Kauri Members Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage, Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum, Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand, and Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa National Library of New Zealand.
